The purpose of my work is to help the world of the digital age develop into a more progressive future and assist those that are willing to create change. I’m the type of person who likes ergonomy, logic, minimalism, perfectionism, reason, and structure. I also like to learn and progress in new topics that I haven’t discovered before. I find it very interesting to solve problems using analysis, critical thinking, and creativity. It is important for me to create something new that can make my or somebody else’s life easier.
For most of my work I find inspiration in my everyday environment. Design surrounds every aspect of life, from the mundane waking up in the morning to going shopping. When I notice a design that interests me, I try to acquire it for reference. I also analyze and take notes on how the design behaves with the material of the final package. That way I not only look for inspiration, but also use my analytical skills to seek out ways that the design might be improved.
I complete most of my work in the digital medium because it is time efficient, it can be easily edited, and it fits into most human interaction environments. My art process always starts by using a piece of paper and a mechanical pencil and then a brief layout on my computer. I develop the work further and collect critique both from myself and others while implementing necessary changes. Finally I critically investigate the work for any mistakes. If the client approves the finalized work it means that I succeeded in my work.
For me digital art is a language, it improves and changes over a very short period of time. You have to learn something new every week to be able to keep up with its growth. Because the digital medium is fast paced, it has a lot of competition and that is why I try to work on improving my concept creation, individual style and work flow as much as I can while learning new skills to be more competitive in the market.
